Victory Internal Medicine has emerged as one of the superstars of the Mental Health Service Corps program. Victory has had tremendous success implementing the Collaborative Care Model and integrating MHSC Behavioral Health Clinician Samantha Rizzo, LMSW into their clinical workflow. Their commitment to screening every patient for behavioral health conditions has allowed them to identify patients in need of services and have led to Samantha building a panel of over 100 patients since August. Additionally, Victory is committed to quality improvement, engaged in DSRIP, and is also a part of the Richmond Quality ACO. They are proactive about training their staff and recently sent Samantha to a training on Motivational Interviewing. Victory’s office manager, Rosemarie Santoro, has been an instrumental part of rolling out this program, and her hard work has illustrated how crucial having a committed site champion is to the success of the Mental Health Service Corps.
