SUMMARY:Behavioral Health Parity Training for Service Providers
DESCRIPTION:Many people are interested in accessing behavioral health services\, but often face challenges due to coverage denials and significant out-of-pocket costs. Attend a free NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC DOHMH) training to learn more about behavioral health parity and related resources. \n\n\n\nThis training will provide an overview of behavioral health parity and what steps you can take (or help your clients take) when they experience insurance denials or unexpected out-of-pocket costs. You will also learn about organizations available to support individuals in accessing services such as the Community Health Access to Addiction and Mental Healthcare Project (CHAMP)\, New York State’s health insurance ombudsman program for substance use disorder and mental health care \n\n\n\n*Continuing Education (CE) credits are available to satisfy LCSW and LMSW continuing education requirements\, and CASAC renewal and CPP/CPS credentialing requirements for OASAS service providers.
