This training will provide an overview of behavioral health parity and what steps you can take when you experience insurance denials or unexpected out-of-pocket costs. You will also learn about organizations available to support individuals in accessing services such as the Community Health Access to Addiction and Mental Healthcare Project (CHAMP), New York State’s health insurance ombudsman program for substance use disorder and mental health care.
