For eClinicalWorks Users: Quality Improvement Measures: Coding, Billing, Procedures, HRSN Screening Tool

This training will give your practice the tools it needs to successfully use and incorporate eClinicalWorks.

Quality Improvement is the process that systematically improves health care delivery, a process or processes that can be measured, analyzed, improved, and controlled and a continuous effort to achieve stable and predictable process results. This training will give your practice the tools it needs to successfully use and incorporate The Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) and Current Procedural Terminology II (CPT II) codes into the practice workflows to improve the quality of care and reimbursements.

The training will cover the following topics:

1. Basic knowledge in:

o International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM)

o Evaluation and management (E/M)

o Current Procedural Terminology (CPT)

2. The Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS)

3. Current Procedural Terminology II (CPT II)

4. ICD 10, CPT and CPT II and HCPS codes for the following procedures and Quality measures:

· Depression Screening

· Aspirin and other Antithrombotic Medication Therapy

· Tobacco Use Screening and Tobacco Use Intervention

· Diabetes Screening

· Breast Cancer Screening

· Asthma and COPD

· Cholesterol management, lipid panel and LDL

· Colorectal Cancer Screening

· Cervical Cancer Screening

· Blood Pressure Control in HTN

5. How to make a list of the most used by practice procedures in the eCW EMR system.

6. How to add and update procedures to the eCW EMR system.

7. How to associate CPT code to the existing procedures.

8. Health Related Social needs (HRSN) (tool, assessment, coding, and billing).
