The NYC Department of Small Business Services is re-launching its Strategic Steps for Growth program in which independent physicians have the opportunity to learn business skills, network, and develop a roadmap to grow their businesses.

In interactive classes, medical professionals will learn about finances, healthcare technology, working with insurance companies and more. Eligible medical professionals include dentists, optometrists, podiatrists, general practitioners, and specialists.

To register, eligible professionals must:

• be an independent private or group practice (not affiliated with a hospital);
• be operating for at least one year;
• have at least one full-time employee (not including the business owner);
• have headquarters or a main office within the five boroughs of New York City.
