Now Open: The Primary Care Information Project’s 2018 Physician Advisory Council Application

    February 2, 2018

The Primary Care Information Project (PCIP) is beginning the selection process for the Physician Advisory Council (PAC) for 2018. The PAC is a group of physicians who provide input on PCIP’s and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s projects, programs, and services.

PCIP intends for the PAC to fairly represent the diverse healthcare landscape of New York City. Nominations for practicing physicians who are either expert EHR users or late adopters are welcomed. Independent private practice primary care physicians from Staten Island are especially encouraged to apply.

Membership to the PAC involves the following commitments:

    • Attending 4 in-person quarterly meetings, at which Council members have an opportunity to offer feedback to PCIP regarding current projects and planned initiatives
      • Council members can also invite their office managers or other office staff to join the Council’s meetings
    • Contributing to ongoing discussions on various topics via email
    • Contributing two hours to a variety of projects, which could include speaking at PCIP events or participating in peer-to-peer educational opportunities

Physicians are welcome to nominate themselves or other physicians by completing the 2018 Physician Advisory Council Nomination Survey. Survey responses are due by Friday, March 9, 2018.

Please share this survey with any physicians who may be interested in joining the PAC or who you think would be a good addition to the PAC.
