Clinicians can visit the Quality Payment Program website to determine 2018 Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) eligibility and Alternative Payment Model (APM) Qualifying APM Participant (QP) status.
Clinicians can access the eligibility tool here and enter their National Provider Identifier (NPI) to view individual MIPS eligibility and QP status. Clinicians are expected to participate in MIPS if they bill more than $90,000 in Medicare Part B services AND see more than 200 Medicare Part B patients per year. QP status is based on claims data between January 1, 2017 and August 31, 2017. To learn more, view the Predictive QP Methodology Fact Sheet.
Clinicians can also visit the Quality Payment Program website to determine MIPS eligibility at the group level. To check eligibility, clinicians must log in with their Enterprise Identity Data Management (EIDM) credentials and browse to the group’s Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN). Clinicians can view and download eligibility status for each NPI associated with the TIN.
