Eligible clinicians participating in MIPS may be contacted for data validation and audits for performance years 2017 and 2018.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) contracted with Guidehouse to begin this process in June 2019. Providers who are selected for data validation and/or audit will receive a request for information from Guidehouse. Providers will have 45 calendar days from the date of the notice to provide all requested information.

• 2017 MIPS Data Validation Criteria: lists 2017 criteria used to audit and validate data submitted for each performance category
• 2018 MIPS Data Validation Criteria: lists 2018 criteria used to audit and validate data submitted for each performance category
