              eMedNY Suspending Fee-for-Service Revalidation

              April 9, 2020

This announcement impacts providers based on their current FFS status. For assistance with determining your current FFS enrollment status before completing your PY2019 attestation, contact your NYC REACH specialist or nycreach@health.nyc.gov.

The following providers can submit Meaningful Use attestations for PY 2019 as planned and should not encounter barriers to processing and payment related to their FFS status:

              • Providers with an active FFS status in good standing, which is not currently due for revalidation, are not impacted by this announcement.
              • Providers due for FFS revalidation (which is normally required every 5 years) will not receive new revalidation notices from eMedNY and their status will remain active during the emergency.
              • Providers due for FFS revalidation who previously received revalidation notices from eMedNY will have their revalidation suspended and their status will remain active during the emergency.
              • Providers due for FFS revalidation who already submitted their revalidation paperwork to eMedNY may have review of the pending application suspended, but their status will remain active during the emergency.
              • Providers due for termination of their FFS status due to failure to successfully revalidate by their deadline (if the deadline was/is after March 1, 2020), will either have their FFS status reactivated or will not have their status terminated by eMedNY during the emergency.

Providers with terminated FFS status due to failure to successfully revalidate by the deadline (if the deadline was before March 1, 2020) will still need to re-enroll/revalidate their FFS status with eMedNY. These providers will only be able to submit attestations for PY2019 once their FFS status has been re-enrolled / revalidated. Providers encountering this scenario can visit the eMedNY website to obtain appropriate application materials and instructions for re-enrollment.

For more information about how this announcement may impact your Meaningful Use attestation, or assistance with determining your current FFS enrollment status before submitting your PY2019 attestation, please reach out to your NYC REACH specialist or email nycreach@health.nyc.gov.
